Install Create Mod on your Minecraft Server

Create adds automation, moving contraptions, trains, decorative blocks, and engineering mechanics to Minecraft Java Edition. This guide explains how to install Create 6.0.10 on an UltraServers Minecraft 1.21.1 server using NeoForge.

Meet the Prerequisites

• Confirm that the server uses Minecraft Java Edition 1.21.1.
• Create a server backup.
• Stop the server before changing its software or installing mods.
• Confirm that every player can install Minecraft 1.21.1, NeoForge, and Create 6.0.10 on their client.
• Remove older or incompatible Create files before installing the current release.
• Do not install Create on Vanilla, Paper, Spigot, Purpur, Pufferfish, or another server type that does not support NeoForge mods.

Install NeoForge

Skip this section if the server already uses NeoForge for Minecraft 1.21.1.

• Sign in to the UltraServers panel.
• Open the Minecraft server you want to manage.
• Stop the server and wait until it shows as offline.
• Open the Change Version tab.
• Select NeoForge.

• Select the recommended 1 NeoForge build for Minecraft 1.21.1.
• Review 2 the installation options.
• Accept the 3 Minecraft EULA.
• Click 4 Install to confirm the change.
• Wait for the installation to finish.

Install Create

• Keep the server stopped.
• Open the 1 Minecraft Mods tab.
• Select 2 Modrinth or CurseForge as the provider.
• Enter 3 Create in the search field.
• Locate the official Create project by simibubi.
• 4 Click the project’s Download icon.

• Open the version menu.
• Select 1 Create 6.0.10 for Minecraft 1.21.1.
• Confirm that the selected release uses NeoForge.
• Do not select a release made for another Minecraft version or mod loader.
• Click 2 Install mod.
• Wait for the installation to finish.

Install Create on Each Client

Create must also be installed on every connecting player’s Minecraft client.

• Install Minecraft Java Edition 1.21.1.
• Install a compatible NeoForge build.
• Download Create 6.0.10 for Minecraft 1.21.1 from the official Modrinth page or official CurseForge page.
• Confirm that the downloaded file is named:

create-1.21.1-6.0.10.jar

• Place the file in the client’s mods folder or install it through a compatible Minecraft launcher.
• Start Minecraft using the Minecraft 1.21.1 NeoForge profile.
• Confirm that Minecraft reaches the main menu without displaying mod-loading errors.

Start and Verify the Server

• Start the server from the UltraServers panel.
• Open the Console tab.
• Wait for a successful startup message similar to:

Done (...)! For help, type "help"

• Confirm that Create appears in the loaded-mod information.
• Review the console for missing-mod, incompatible-version, or mod-loader errors.
• Do not attempt to connect while the server is still starting.

• Connect to the server.
• Confirm that the client connects without a version-mismatch error.
• Confirm that Create blocks and items are available.
• Open Create’s in-game Ponder interface and confirm that it loads correctly.

Install Create Manually

Only use this method if Create 6.0.10 is unavailable through the panel’s Minecraft Mods tab.

• Download Create 6.0.10 from its official Modrinth release page or official CurseForge release page.
• Confirm that the downloaded file is named:

create-1.21.1-6.0.10.jar

• Stop the server and wait until it shows as offline.
• Open the Files tab.
• Open the mods directory.
• Create the mods directory if it does not exist.
• Remove older or incompatible Create files.
• Click Upload.
• Select create-1.21.1-6.0.10.jar.
• Wait for the upload to finish.
• Confirm that the file appears in the mods directory.
• Start the server and complete the verification steps above.

Troubleshoot Create

Resolve a Version or Loader Mismatch

• Stop the server.
• Open the Change Version tab.
• Confirm that the server uses Minecraft 1.21.1 and NeoForge.
• Open the Files tab.
• Navigate to the mods directory.
• Confirm that the installed Create file is:

create-1.21.1-6.0.10.jar

• Remove Create files made for Forge, Fabric, or another Minecraft version.
• Remove duplicate Create files.
• Start the server and review the console.

Resolve a Client Connection Error

• Confirm that the server and client both use:
• Minecraft 1.21.1.
• NeoForge.
• Create 6.0.10.
• Compatible versions of any additional mods.
• Remove duplicate or incompatible Create files from the client’s mods folder.
• Restart the Minecraft client before reconnecting.

Resolve a Missing Mod Error

• Stop the server.
• Read the first relevant error in the console.
• Note the missing mod and required version.
• Confirm that the error comes from Create rather than an additional Create addon.
• Install a compatible version of the missing mod only when it is explicitly required.
• Start the server again.

Resolve a Startup Failure

• Read the first relevant console error rather than relying only on the final shutdown message.
• Confirm that the server uses Minecraft 1.21.1 and NeoForge.
• Remove duplicate Create files from the mods directory.
• Remove Create files made for another Minecraft version or loader.
• Remove incompatible Create addons.
• Start the server again.
• Restore the server backup if the server or world still does not start.
