Change the Minecraft Server Type
In this guide, we will show you how to use our version changer to seamlessly swap between the Java and Bedrock editions of the game and their respective versions.
Choose the Version
- Click on the 1 Change Version tab.
- Choose which 2 server software you want to use depending on whether you will be playing Java edition or Bedrock edition.
- Pick the 3 version that you wish to play, often times it will simply be the latest one available.
- Hit the 4 Install button.
Finalize the Installation
- Pick which 1 build of the version you want to install. Often times you should just leave this at the default value that is selected for you.
- Choose if you want to 2 Wipe Server Files before the installation. If you choose not to wipe the previous files and then significantly change the version or edition of the game, it may cause unwanted behavior and possible data corruption.
- Click on the 3 Install button.
- The installation should now be complete within a few seconds.
Restart the Server
- Restart your Minecraft server to apply the changes.
