Change the Minecraft Server Type
Server type refers to the kind of Minecraft you use: Vanilla, Forge, or Paper. These different versions allow you to try different plugins and mods that are compatible with certain server types. Mods and server types are not cross-compatible. In this guide, we will show you how to change the server type of your Minecraft server.
Access Panel
- Login to the panel. See Access the Panel for instructions.
- Go to the 1 Servers tab.
- 2 Then, go into your server.
Access Version Changer
- Click the 1 Change Version tab on the navigation bar on the left-hand side.
- 2 This shows the currently installed server type and version.
- 3 These are all the available Minecraft server types to switch to.
Switch Server Type
- Click on your desired server type.
- Click the Install button next to the required version number.
- Select the required
Buildfrom the drop-down if the selected version has multiple builds. - Toggle ON
Wipe Server Filesto delete all the files before switching the server type. - Click the Install button to execute the server type change.
Restart the Server
- Restart your Minecraft server to apply the changes.
