General

Who is UltraServers?

UltraServers is a game server hosting platform within the Ultra brand and has more than a decade of experience in the hosting industry. We provide shared game servers with individual resource allocation, top-quality server hardware, and premium support. We innovate and strive to ensure our clients are cared for.

Is UltraServers free?

UltraServers is NOT a free service. However, during the alpha phase we have offered free game servers to alpha testers for feedback in return. Free plans for testers expired on 1st November 2023.

EPYC or Ryzen?

Both CPUs we offer will provide an excellent gaming experience. However, if you want the best performance for games that use a single core (e.g. Minecraft), you might prefer the AMD Ryzen series. For most people, the AMD EPYC series will perform very well, so we suggest starting with that. You can always switch later if needed!

Where are your servers located?

We currently support the US (East and West), Europe, Asia and Australia. However, as the demand grows, we will expand our server locations to other parts of the world.

What is CPU Boosting?

CPU Boosting is applied during the initial startup of a game server to speed up the startup process. The allocated amount of vCores is increased by 50% for 2.5 minutes.

How do I upload files larger than 1024MB?

To upload files larger than 1024MB in file size, you would have to use the SFTP protocol instead of simply uploading the file via the File Manager. Go to SFTP Transfer for detailed instructions.

What is a reverse proxy?

A reverse proxy is a server that sits between a client and a web server (in other words, a middleman). It receives requests from the client and forwards them to the web server. The web server then sends the response back to the reverse proxy, which in turn sends it back to the client. This can be useful for load balancing, security, and caching purposes. What is a subdomain?

A subdomain is essentially a part of a larger domain. It is like a subdivision of a main website, with its own unique address. For example, if the main domain is ultraga.me a subdomain could be sub.ultraga.me. This allows server owners to create a personalized URL. This is helpful for players as they can access the server via the URL instead of the IP-address. Checkout Create a Subdomain for detailed instructions on how to create subdomains.

Billing

Do you offer a free trial?

No, but we offer a 7-day refund period from the day of your first server purchase. Read more about eligibility and see our Terms of Service for more details.

What are the payment methods offered?

PayPal.
Credit/Debit card with PayPal as the secure processor.
Stripe (This must be supported in your card issuers country, PayPal is the recommended alternative). More info can be found here.

How do I upgrade my server?

You will need to create a ticket through the panel requesting an upgrade, the support team will create the upgrade order and once you pay your server will automatically upgrade. You may create a ticket here.

I want to pay automatically via PayPal. How can I do that?

During the payment process, you will be given the option of payment method. Select Pay with PayPal and authorize the payment by logging in to your PayPal account. More info can be found in the Set up a PayPal Subscription guide.

In regard to the pre-approved payment subscription, this is an agreement between you and PayPal. If you cancel your UltraServers server plan, you must also cancel your pre-approved payment subscription that you have set up with PayPal. More info can be found here.

Any overpayments due to this are non-refundable and are automatically added to the credit balance of your account.

What happens if I don’t pay my invoice?

If payment has not been made before the invoice due date, your UltraServers’ plan will be suspended 48 hours after the due date has been reached. A grace period of 12 days will be provided before a suspended service is terminated. Once termination is executed, all data will be permanently deleted.

Minecraft

How do I share my Minecraft logs?

Logs can be safely shared using the mclo.gs website. It will remove any sensitive and personal information from the logs before giving you a link to share. Go to Share your Minecraft Server Logs for detailed instructions.

How can I create/restore a backup of my Minecraft server?

Backups can be created from the Backups tab on the panel. Automatic backups can be set up from the Schedules tab. See Create a Backup for detailed instructions.

How do I OP myself in Minecraft?

To op yourself, type op <name> in the server console. For more information, see OP Yourself on your Minecraft Server.

How do I remove brackets from Minecraft chat?

In order to remove brackets around usernames in the chat of your Minecraft server, see Remove <> from Minecraft Chat on your Server.

How do I change op-color in Minecraft?
