Install CarpetMod on your Minecraft Server
This tutorial will walk you through installing CarpetMod on your Minecraft server. CarpetMod is a Fabric mod that adds various features for server administration, Redstone creativity, and technical aspects of the game. It’s an excellent tool for enhancing their Minecraft technical gameplay experience. Here’s how to install CarpetMod using Fabric.
Confirm Server Version
- Ensure your Minecraft server runs Fabric, as CarpetMod is a Fabric mod.
- Fabric is necessary for the proper functioning of CarpetMod.
Download CarpetMod
- Download CarpetMod from its official source or a trusted mod repository like CurseForge.
- Ensure the CarpetMod version is compatible with the Fabric version that your server is running.
- If your Fabric version is
1.21.2, ensure the CarpetMod download matches that version.
Access Your Server Files
- You can access your server files using the Files tab on the left-hand navigation bar.
- Your server files can also be accessed via SFTP. For instructions, see SFTP Transfer.
Install CarpetMod
- 1 Navigate to the
modsfolder in your server directory. - If there is no
modsfolder, create one. - Click the 2 Upload button.
- 3 Select the downloaded CarpetMod
.jarfile. - Click the 4 Open button to upload the CarpetMod file to the
modsfolder.
Restart the Server
- After uploading CarpetMod, restart your server to activate the mod.
Verify Installation
- After the server has successfully restarted, join the server to confirm that CarpetMod is functioning correctly.
- You should be able to access new commands and features provided by the mod.
