Server Splitter
This guide explains how to use Server Splitter to allocate resources and run multiple servers under one service.
Log in to the Panel
- Log in to the panel using the steps in the Access the Panel guide.
- If you land on the Dashboard, open the service you want to split.
- If you land on the Services list, select the service you want to split.
Create a Child Server
- 1 Open the Server Splitter tab to view the Resource Overview.
- 2 Click Create Child Server to open the server creation form.
- 1 Enter a server name.
- 2 Select a server type.
- 3 Enter the number of port allocations for the child server. The form displays the maximum number available.
- 4 Choose whether the child server should inherit the parent server's subuser permissions.
- 5 Click Create Server to create the child server.
After the child server is created, it should look like this:
Congratulations, you now have another server. You can use server splitting to host a database that synchronizes data between servers or to create a network that allows players to move between connected servers.
Frequently Asked Questions
Can I Upgrade or Downgrade My Plan?
Plans using Server Splitter can be upgraded. To downgrade a plan, you must first delete all child servers. This restriction may change because Server Splitter remains in active beta.
What Are the Limitations?
Server Splitter is available only on plans with 8 GB or more. Each eligible plan supports up to two child servers. For best results, use the parent server as your backend server and child servers for supporting services such as a proxy or database.
