Config Editor
This guide will show you how to manage your configurations through our Config Editor tool, a fast way to edit configurations without needing the file manager.
Access Panel
- Log in to the panel. See Access the Panel for instructions.
- Click on the Server you want to manage.
Navigate to Config Editor
- Click the 1 Config Editor tab.
- 2. It's recommended to stop your server when you make changes. However, only do this if you are sure you need to, which can be confirmed through reviewing documentation. For example, changing a
server.properties
property vs. a plugin that has a configuration reload command. - 3 Click the drop-down and select the configuration you wish to modify.
Modify a Configuration
- You'll see the current values once you have selected the configuration that interests you. For the sake of this guide, I’ll go over the
bukkit.yml
file. Our config editor will show you values in the form of an: - Toggle switch: Represents
True/False
, which is essentially any option you’d toggle. - Input box: For Text or numeric options.
- Let's say you want to disable the End and modify the shutdown messages users see when the server shuts down. You can do so by 1 toggling the switch under
ALLOW END
and 2 changing the text under theSHUTDOWN MESSAGE
input box. - Once you are satisfied with the configuration change, click the 3 Save button.
Start the Server
- Click the Start server button.
- As you can see, the End world was not loaded. Congratulations; you have just painlessly modified your server’s configuration.
