Fix Failed to Verify Username Error

In this guide, we will show you how to fix the “Failed to verify username error” in Minecraft by disabling online-mode.

Access `server.properties`

Go to the 1 Files tab of your server.
Click on the 2 server.properties file to open the file editor.

Configure `server.properties`

Be aware that changing this option might increase the risk of unauthorized access to your server, as it allows cracked clients to join.
NOTE: Some plugins does NOT support cracked versions of minecraft, so please keep that in mind when disabling online-mode

1 Locate the online-mode line and change its value to false.
Click on the 2 Save Content button to save the changes to the file.
Restart your Minecraft server for the changes to apply.
