Install Custom Server Software
This guide will show you how to install your custom server software. Our server software installer on the panel offers a wide variety of custom server software, we do what we can to offer relevant and up-to-date software; some server software is unavailable (primarily paid or private), so this guide will show you how to do it manually.
Download Server Software
- The most known server software can be downloaded from the following sites: Paper, Purpur, Pufferfish, Velocity, Bungee, Forge, and Fabric.
- Start by downloading the desired file from a trusted source.
- Please save the file to a location on your local computer and rename it
server.jar
. - If you want to change the JAR file variable in startup, you can ignore this step.
Access the Panel
- Login to the panel. See Access the Panel for detailed instructions.
Stop the Server
- Make sure to Stop your server before uploading the custom server software. If the server is kept running, weird errors can appear.
- Navigate to the server you want to update and click the Stop button.
Upload Server Software
- Click on the 1 Files tab.
- Find your existing 2
server.jar
, and delete the file. - If you prefer to keep it, you could rename it to
old-[software_name].jar
.
- Once the old
server.jar
file has been deleted, or renamed, you can proceed by uploading the custom server software file. - Click the 3 Upload button and select the
server.jar
file you downloaded earlier. You can also drag and drop your jar file, and it will upload. - To see the progress of the upload, you can click the upload progress icon.
Restart the Server
- Once the upload has been completed, navigate to your server panel and click the Start button.
- Your server should now boot up using the newly uploaded server software.
