Allow Flying on Your Minecraft Server
In this guide, we will show you how to enable flying on your Minecraft server. Enabling flying involves modifying the server.properties file. Follow the steps below to stop players being kicked for flying.
If you are looking to allow flight in survival mode, you need to follow the instructions provided in Allow Flight in Survival Mode using GFly.
Navigate to Files
- Go into the 1 Files tab.
- Locate and open the 2
server.propertiesfile.
Edit Config File
- 1 Change the value of
allow-flighttotrue. - The line should look like this:
allow-flight=true. - Click the 2 Save Content button to save the file.
Restart the Server
- Restart your Minecraft server for the changes to take effect.
- Players who fly with a mod or plugin, such as GFly, are no longer kicked for flying. For GFly setup, see Allow Flight in Survival Mode using GFly.
