Allow Flight in Survival Mode using GFly
In this tutorial, we will guide you step-by-step through enabling flying on your Minecraft server using the GFly plugin. This plugin works best with PaperMC, Spigot, or Purpur servers, although PaperMC and Purpur are particularly recommended due to their advanced optimizations.
The GFly plugin works best with PaperMC, Spigot, or Purpur servers. If you are setting up a new server, it is recommended that you use either PaperMC or Purpur for their enhanced optimizations.
Install GFly
- Login to the panel. See Access the Panel for instructions.
- Click the 1 Plugins tab in the navigation bar on the left-hand side.
- 2 Select
SpigotMCunder the provider drop-down. - 3 Search for
gflyin the plugin search field. - Click the 4 Install button next to the
GFly - Simple and Smart Fly Plugin.
- After the installation, restart your server to ensure the GFly plugin is loaded correctly.
Install LuckPerms
- You must configure permissions using the LuckPerms plugin to allow other players on your server to use the fly command.
- If you don’t have it installed, follow the same process as above to install LuckPerms through the plugin installer. Detailed instructions can be found in Install and Configure Luckperms.
Configure LuckPerms
- After installing LuckPerms, you may want to restrict the fly command to a specific group or player, you can use the in-game command
/lp group <group-name> permission set gfly.fly trueor/lp user <username> permission set gfly.fly true, replacing<group-name>and<username>with your desired group or player. - If you want to configure LuckPerms further, see their wiki.
