Manual Installation of Modpacks
In this guide, we will show you how to manually install modpacks, rather than using the modpack installer on our panel.
Download the Modpack
- Visit a trusted modpack site (e.g., CurseForge, Modrinth).
- Search for the desired modpack.
- Download the modpack's server files, which usually come in
.zipformat. - Save the file to a convenient location on your computer.
Prepare the Modpack for Upload
- Ensure the folder contains the necessary files (like
mods,config,libraries, and server.jarfiles). - Make sure all essential files are present.
- Make sure the file is in the
.zipformat.
Access Your UltraServers Panel
- Login to the Panel, see for instructions.
- Navigate to the server on which you want to install the modpack.
- Stop the server to prevent any issues during the upload process.
Upload the Modpack to the Server
- Use the built-in Upload button within the Files tab on the UltraServers panel.
- Alternatively, connect to the server via SFTP Transfer using a client like FileZilla if the modpack zip is too large.
- Delete all existing files in the server's root directory.
- Upload the zipped modpack files to the server's root directory.
- Now click the
...three dots and click the Unarchive button, and wait.
- Files will be extracted in a directory named according to the zip file.
- Open this directory and select all the files, and click the Move button.
- Enter
../in the field and click the Move button to move files to the root directory.
Start Server and Play
- Once the file is done extracting, click the start server button.
- First-time startup on modpacks can take a while, so please wait patiently.
- Once the startup is done, you can join your server and enjoy playing!
