Reset Player Data in Minecraft

This guide explains how to reset a Minecraft player's inventory, location, health, and other player-specific data by removing their player data file.

Find the Player UUID

• 1 Go to the MC-API website and enter the name of the player whose data you want to wipe.
• 2 Copy the player's full UUID. You will need it later.

Open the Player Data Folder

• Stop the server to prevent it from rewriting the player's data.
• Go to the 1 Files tab.
• Navigate to the 2 /world/playerdata/ folder. If your main world uses another name, open that world's playerdata folder.

Reset the Player Data

• 1 Locate the .dat file whose name matches the UUID copied from MCUUID.
• Download or rename the file if you may need to restore it later.
• Open the file options menu with the 2 … button.
• Click the 3 Delete button, then confirm the deletion.
• Start the server. Minecraft creates a new player data file when the player rejoins.
