Change your Minecraft Java Edition Version
In this guide, we will show you how to change your Minecraft Java version. Changing your game version means to switch between different updates and versions of the game. Common versions to play on are the latest releases and 1.8.9 Minecraft, due to their extreme combat differences.
Login to the Panel
- Login to the panel, see for instructions.
- Go to the Server tab and open the server you’d like to edit.
Go to the Startup tab
- Click the Startup tab in the middle of the server navigation bar.
- Under the Variables section, click into the
SERVER VERSIONfield.
- Then type the version of Minecraft you would like to run, for example:
1.18
Restart the Minecraft server
- 1 Then go to the Settings
- 2 Click Reinstall to apply the server version changes.
- The installation may take up to a few minutes to finish.
- Once the installation is complete, you can play on your server!
