Change the Minecraft Java Edition Version
In this guide, we will show you how to change your Minecraft Java version. Changing your game version means to switch between different updates and versions of the game. Common versions to play on are the latest releases and 1.8.9 Minecraft, due to their extreme combat differences.
Access Panel
- Login to the panel. See Access the Panel for instructions.
- Go to the 1 Servers tab.
- 2 Then, go into your server.
Change Version
- Click the 1 Startup tab in the middle of the server navigation bar.
- Under the Variables section, click into the 2
SERVER VERSIONfield.
- Then type the version of Minecraft you would like to run, for example:
1.18.
Reinstall the Server
- Then go to the 1 Settings tab.
- Click 2 Reinstall Server to apply the server version changes.
- The installation may take up to a few minutes to finish.
- Once the installation is complete, you can play on your server!
