Install Better MC on your Minecraft Server
Better MC is a custom modpack that enhances the Minecraft experience with over 40 mods that improve gameplay, add new biomes and dimensions, more weapons and tools, new mobs, and much more. This guide will walk you through installing the Better MC modpack on both a Minecraft server and client.
Install Better MC (Fabric)
Install the Modpack
- Click on the 1 Modpacks tab on the left-hand side navigation bar.
- 2 Select
CurseForgeas a provider from the drop-down. - 3 Search for
BMCin the search bar. - In the search results, find
Better MC [FABRIC] BMC3and click the 4 Install button.
- 1 Select the required
Modpack version. - 2 Toggling ON the
Delete Filesbutton will delete all the present files on the server. Set this as per requirement. - 3 Click the Install modpack button to initiate the installation process.
- During installation, the server will be inaccessible for a while. Once correctly installed, proceed to restart the server.
- Once it's started properly, this is how the console will look. Your server is now running the Better MC [Fabric] modpack.
Client-Side Setup on Prism Launcher
- Launch Prism Launcher and click 1 Add Instance in the top left corner.
- 2 Choose the correct Minecraft version; our modpack Better MC [FABRIC] BMC3 works with
1.21.1, so we will choose that. - 3 Next, we will choose the latest version of Fabric Loader
0.16.9. This will change when new releases arrive.
- Click on the 4 CurseForge button on the left side.
- 5 Search
BMC3in the search field. - 6 select the correct modpack (Fabric).
- 7 Select the correct mod pack version as Installed on the server. Since we installed
1.21.1 v14.5, we will select that. - Finally, Click 8 OK to create the instance.
- Later in the process, it will prompt you to download the missing mods and proceed to click OK.
- Double-click on the newly created instance to launch it.
Install Better MC (Forge)
Installing the Modpack
- Click on the 1 Modpacks tab on the left-hand side navigation bar.
- 2 Select

1.20.1 v34.5, we will select that. - Finally, Click 8 OK to create the instance.
- Later in the process, it will prompt you to download the missing mods and proceed to click OK.
- Double-click on the newly created instance to launch it.
