Server Resource Requirements

To create a Garry's Mod server, you will need to meet the following minimum resource requirements:

While the minimum requirements allow you to create a Garry's Mod server, we recommend allocating more resources to ensure optimal performance, especially if you plan to host multiple players simultaneously. Here are our recommended resource allocations:
- 10 GB RAM
- 4 vCPUs
- 20 GB storage
Installing Garry's Mod Server
The server creation process typically takes between 5 and 10 minutes.
- Log in to your account on our dashboard. You can follow this detailed guide here.
- Click on the Create Server button.
- Choose the resource plan that meets or exceeds the recommended requirements.
- Enter the desired values for different fields under Configure Resources section.
- Set desired server name in the Name field.
- Choose the desired server location.
- Select
Garrys Mod
from the list of available games. - Select
Garrys Mod
as Type - Select
Latest
in the Version field.
- Click on the Confirm Creation button to proceed with the server creation process.
- Wait for the server to be provisioned.
Server Configuration
- Once your Garry's Mod server is created, you may want to customize various settings to suit your preferences.
- Click on the server name to open Server Overview.
- Once Server Overview is open, next click on the Settings tab in the left hand menu.
- Here are a few configurations you might consider:
- Steam Account Token: The Steam Account Token is required for the server to be displayed publicly.
- Workshop ID: You can enter the MOD/Workshop ID in this field.
- Game Mode: Choose the desired game mode, such as Sandbox, Roleplay, or any custom game modes you prefer.
- Max Players: Set the maximum number of players allowed to join your server simultaneously.
- Tick rate: The tick rate defines how fast the server will update each entity's location.
Connecting to the Server
To connect to your Garry's Mod server, you'll need to follow these steps:
- Install Garry's Mod: If you haven't already, install Garry's Mod on your computer. You can purchase it through Steam or any other official distribution platform.
- Launch Garry's Mod: Once installed, launch the game.
- Click on the Find Multiplayer Game button.
- Click on the Legacy Browser button to open window to add your server.
- Click on the Add Server button.
- Copy the server IP address from the Inventory page.
- Paste the copied IP address in the

- Next, click Add this address to favorites button.
- Select the added server and click on the Connect button.
- You will successfully connect to your Garry's Mod server now.
