Custom Map for Counter-Strike 2
In this guide, we will show you how to use a custom map for your CS2 server, and how to change the map from the console.
Log in to the Panel
- Log in to the panel. See Access the Panel for instructions.
Navigate to Console
- Ensure your server is started.
- Wait for the service to start before proceeding to the next step.
Find a Map
- You can find maps from the Steam Workshop.
- Once you have found one you like, you need to copy its ID, which can be found by its query string (the
?id=part). For the sake of the guide, we’re going to be using 3433040330.
Download the Map
- To do this, you will use the
host_workshop_map <ID>command, which takes the ID of the workshop map. - In the console, input
host_workshop_map 3433040330and press ENTER.
Use the Map
- The server will automatically load the map and switch to it; however, if this does not happen, you can use the command to change maps.
- The command is
ds_workshop_changelevel map_name. For example, if you want to usede_wrecked, you can executeds_workshop_changelevel de_wreckedin the console.
- Congratulations, you can enjoy those custom maps.
